A TOTEM FOR THIS TIME The Owl is a symbol of Justice and Wisdom. Owls have always had a powerful impact on Albertus LightStrider. Not only are they wonderful creatures in themselves. In every mythology they are seen as messengers from the physical world into other states of being. This owlet is one of a batch of hatchlings rescued from an urban garden in 2003. They symbolise the need to nurture and protect what is precious and insight beyond what the eye can see.

The monthly Lunar cycle begins at New Moon when the Moon and Sun are conjunct.
The eight year Venus cycle begins at New Venus. This is when Venus disappears from being the Evening Star and re-appears as the Morning Star just after Venus and the Sun were in an inferior conjunction. Venus then turns retrograde and is reborn as the thin crescent Venus. Just as the Sun signals a new earth-day, so Venus heralds a new eight-year phase. In preparation for this new phase, there are six stages to consider. This year it occurs from 2 February to 6 June 2009. This Venus cycle repeats every eight years. The previous cycle was in 2001, the next occurs in 2017.
